As you know, we have spent a large amount of time in class discussing our latest class reading book - The Tale of Despereaux.
Our main character in this story is Despereaux, who can be a very adventurous mouse at times. With adventure, sometimes comes some very sticky situations.
For your language arts homework this week,
Follow the instructions below. Read each instruction very carefully!
1) Make sure you are signed in to your gmail account.
2) Choose a situation from the book that shows a time when things didn't go quite as planned for one of the characters.
3) In a comment below, describe details of the situation you chose in full detail. This description needs to be at least one paragraph long.

Below your description of the situation you chose, answer the following questions in full detail. Your final comment needs to be at least two paragraphs long.
- How do you think the character got themselves in the situation they did?
- What was the character feeling and thinking at the time?
- Is there any way the character could have avoided the situation, or was it a good thing?
- If you were the author, how would you change this section in the book?
- If you were the character you chose, how would you react?
6) Create a mixed-media art masterpiece that depicts what your reaction would be to the situation you chose if you were the character. Be sure to use perspective, texture, and color in your artwork.
7) Bring your masterpiece to class next Monday, I will be showing it in our class gallery!
